TERMS & CONDITIONS


You must read these Terms carefully before using the MPVS service as they set out the basis on which we provide service to you. If you are unhappy with or do not agree with these Terms then you must exit the MPVS platform and cancel any appointment.

1. INTRODUCTION

  • MPVS operates the website at www.mpvs.co.uk (the “Site”) and operates home visit service (the “Mobile Pet Vaccination Service”), short (the “Service).
  • Certain services are free, while others require payment.
  • MPVS offers mobile veterinary service, NOT emergency care. If you believe your pet might be experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please contact an emergency care facility near you.
  • These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Site and the Service, and by accessing, registering to use, or using any part of the Sites or the Service, you are deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
  • If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you must leave the Site, and not register to use the Service.
  • By agreeing to these Terms, you warrant and represent that you are 18 years old or over.
  • We may need to revise these Terms, including the Charges at any time. We will do this by updating this posting. If you have a registered account with us, we will try to notify you by email or when you next log in to your account. In any event, you should check the Site from time to time to review the current Terms and Charges, because they are binding on you. If you do not agree to any changes, you must leave the Sites, terminate your Account (in accordance with clause 5 below), and stop using the Service.

2. MPVS DO NOT PROVIDE ONLINE CONSULTATION SERVICE

3. THE HOME VISIT SERVICE

  • Through the Site, we operate the Home Visit Service, which allows you to register your pet, get in touch with us, and arrange an appointment for a home visit consultation. More information, guidance about the Home Visit Service can be found at www.mpvs.co.uk.
  • The Home Visit Service is not an emergency service. You must not use the service to seek medical advice for an animal that is unconscious, not breathing or gasping for air, experiencing an allergic reaction, uncontrollably bleeding, or showing any symptoms that require urgent veterinary attention. . In a life-threatening emergency, you must take your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary practice immediately.
  • In certain circumstances, we may consider that your pet's problems are best addressed other than through the Home Visit Service and we may suggest that you should seek advice elsewhere or in person.
  • As part of the Home Visit Service, you can provide us with information about your pet including details of any medical history and your primary vet contact details.
  • By using our service, you agree to pay any applicable Additional Charges (e.g. travel fee) and confirm that you are the owner of the pet in question or that you have the authority of the owner or other appropriate authority to use the Home Visit Service in relation to that pet and to disclose the details of that pet through the Home Visit Service.
  • During the consultation, we will discuss with you and assess your pet’s needs and, if possible, provide you with information, guidance, and/or advice.
  • If we can provide any information, guidance, and/or advice, we will then summarise the consultation in a written medical report, which will be available to you upon request. To obtain a copy of your pet's medical records, you may send an email request to info@mpvs.co.uk.
  • You agree that no Veterinarian-Client-Patient-Relationship is established in connection with the Site. You agree that a Veterinarian-Client-Patient-Relationship is only established during a home visit.

4. LIAISING WITH OTHER PRACTICES

  • If we have not seen your furry friend before, we will ask for your permission to contact your regular/previous practice to request your pet’s medical records. We will inform them of any treatment and medication we have given.

5. CHARGES AND CANCELLATION

  • Charges for Home Visits Service vary based on your geographic location, and the procedures undertaken. Additional charges for items such as, but not limited to additional procedures, medications, consumables are required to be paid at the time of treatment.
  • Payment is to be made by cash or bank transfer.
  • You may cancel your appointment for a Home Visit Service up to 12 hours before the scheduled time.
  • To cancel your appointment, you must email us at info@mpvs.co.uk, or give us a call.

6. REGISTERED VETERINARY SURGEONS

  • We are registered veterinary surgeons and also official veterinarians and are bound by laws, regulations, and codes of conduct that may, in certain circumstances, prevent us from being able to offer you specific guidance or advice or a formal diagnosis through the Home Visit Service. In those circumstances, we will let you know and will advise you on the most appropriate course of action to get the help that you and your pet need.
  • Any information, guidance, or advice provided by us will be based on the information that you provide during the Home Visit Service. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that all the information that you provide is complete and accurate, to the best of your knowledge.
  • The information, guidance, and/or advice that you receive through the Home Visit Services will be based on the specific information that you provide through the Home Visit Service. You should not apply the information, guidance, or advice you receive to any animal other than the pet in question, without explicit confirmation from us.
  • At the end of each consultation, you will be allowed to give us a review. Your review will be used for our internal quality control purposes and we may (and you agree that we may) disclose your review to us if we consider it necessary to properly address any issue you raise. Your review may also be disclosed publicly on our Site or any marketing materials.

7. VACCINATION REMINDERS

  • Whilst we make every effort to send out vaccination reminders, the responsibility to keep them up to date remains on you.

8. SAFETY POLICY

  • Please warn us if your pet has shown aggression to strangers before. We reserve the right to refuse treatment if a visit becomes unsafe (we are/or feel that we are in any sort of danger). We will provide advice on alternative treatment options. We will Charge only the Travel Fee (if it is required to be paid).

9. INSURANCE

  • We strongly recommend getting your pet insured. Please ask for details about insurance if you do not have a policy in place.
  • • If you have pet insurance in place, you should be aware that your use of the Vaccination Service which we provide, and the associated Charges (travel fee if required) will not be covered by your pet insurance.
  • • You must check with your pet insurance provider before using the Service if you intend to claim under your pet insurance policy.
